GOOD REPORTS COMING FROM EJILA AWORI MISSION FIELD

There are lots of good reports coming from all over Ejila Awori mission field, a mission field discovered in 1997, by Kingdom Missions Outreach (KMO).

Ejila Awori as the name suggests, is made up of twelve Awori communities (a riverine area), and is located in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, south west Nigeria. Ejila people have been dominated by traditional (African Religion), with its attendant backwardness. Poverty, illiteracy and underdevelopment are the order of the day among these people.

When KMO started work there in 1997, only about three communities have gospel churches, that is, Deeper Life Bible Church with one or two others, with few orthodox churches, chief among them being African Church.

But today to the glory of God, there are Pentecostal churches in virtually all the communities courtesy Kingdom Missions Outreach. Then we called in churches to adopt communities without churches, and as God would have it, some churches responded to that clarion call, thereby manifesting to a great revival in the land.

For instance, in Totowu town, the first community we entered, Redeem Christian Church Of God, Life Assembly, Ikotun is there now. One of our early converts in that land, Bro David, is now an ordain Pastor, pasturing the church in his community. The church building is almost about to be completed to the glory of God.

In Adan Abuja community where we later moved to, is experiencing great revival. We have to the glory of God attracted no fewer than three American missionaries to that land, among whom are Arch-bishop Charles Henderson of Association of Evangelical Gospel Assembly in Monroe USA, Rev. Dr. Betty Jenkins of Go Ye Christian University, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, and the last but not the least Pastor (Mrs) Roberto Vines of Confirmed Word Faith Center, Cleveland Ohio USA, and many other Nigerian missionaries.

Our first convert Bro Adebayo Oke, is now pasturing the church we pioneered in that land. The medical outreach is still touching lives on a daily basis; we’ve been able to refer about three cases for operation, one for optical case and another for a dental problem.

Ipatira town, is having similar experience, Christ Like Evangelical Mission (CLEM), a vision of Rev. Dr. Peace Ekpo, is waxing stronger every day. They now have a resident missionary pastor, their worship centre almost completed, dug a well that is serving the water needs of the people, and also is pioneering a nursery and primary school there.

Also through their medical mission effort, the Bale (Head) of the land underwent a surgical operation in Lagos.

Igbodo town where Foursquare Gospel Church Akimogun branch is holding sway is also bubbling with activities. A lot of the indigenes are daily declaring for our Lord Jesus Christ. Their worship centre is almost near completion to the gory of God.

Odan Sule is another town where Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Dominion Parish Gowon Estate, is doing great works. Their worship centre has been completed, with a resident pastor at work there. The same RCCG has since moved to Etaigbe town where soul a being won for the Lord on daily basis.

The same good reports are coming from churches in other communities like Ikogbo, Itekun, Igbo-ota, Imuta, and Agelete, the churches there a growing unhindered to the glory of God.

Ejila Awori is still calling for your active involvement, we still need more churches mission oriented schools, especially vocational schools to train indigenes on how to be self employed. Mission health centres are still in great demand; hence the needs are arising on a daily basis.

Ejila still need missionaries to work among them, relief material for missionaries and their converts, and more importantly prayer support.

In case the Lord is leading you to be involved in the work in that land, please feel free to contact the Director of Missions, Kingdom Missions Outreach, through the addresses provided.
